Founded in 1969, White Bird Clinic is a collective-run community clinic in downtown Eugene. Its mission is to enable Lane County residents to gain control of their social, emotional, and physical well-being through direct service, education, and community. Its priority is to serve people who are unserved, underinsured, disabled and/or homeless.
Among many other services, it provides a medical clinic and an indigent dental program. It also administers the County Human Service Information and Referral Program.
Oral health services
White Bird’s dental clinic offers emergency, preventive and restorative dental care to Lane County residents. OHP and private dental insurance are accepted. Uninsured patients are charged on an income-based sliding scale. The clinic partners with the Arizona School of Oral Medicine, Oregon Health and Science University, and Lane Community College to provide low-cost care.
White Bird Clinic received a grant to expand dental education and preventive care services for low-income students in the Bethel School District.
