Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties

In 2004, Benton County opened the Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties, which is part of a national network of federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) that provide health care services across address financial, geographic, language and cultural barriers.

The centers offer a broad range of primary care services while also emphasizing prevention, education and screening.

Oral health services
Dental services for children include:

  • Dental exams
  • Digital x-ray
  • Fillings
  • Simple extractions
  • Hygiene exams
  • Cleaning and polishing
  • Fluoride varnish
  • Sealants
  • Oral health education

Services are delivered through Johnson Dental Clinic, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis. In addition, the dental staff provides annual screenings, fluoride varnish and sealants at the following Benton County schools

Annual screenings are also available at the WIC in Corvallis.

Grant purpose
Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties received a grant to expand school-based prevention services to seventh graders and to expand the program to Lebanon School District.
